Starting at the 7th, 11th or 12th tees must be coordinated with the Golf Shop. Players interrupting their round (stop for a bite, etc.) forfeit their position on the course & must check-in with the golf Shop before continuing. LADIES’ MEMBER-GUEST

GOLFER'S CORNER It goes without saying that the conditions of our golf course are excellent. In fact, the conditions at Wyantenuck are so good that members cannot help but mention the conditions. Our grounds team lead by Mr. Superintendent Peter Bacon and his second Shawn Kinne, keep the course in excellent shape and get maintenance and projects completed to enhance our experience. Thus, it is distressing to see divots un-repaired in fairways, ball impact spots un-repaired on the putting surfaces, and sloppy attention to clean up in the bunkers. Too often these things are cited. On the fairway, Mr. Bacon offers practical advice: "If turf is taken it should be retrieved, replaced, and if available top-dressed with a dash of sand. If the grass is swept off leaving roots, top-dressing helps to heal the area." On the greens, for ball marks, gently pry from the edge inward toward the depression to return the displaced soil to the area, then pat it down. Never lift the center of the depression. In bunkers, the old soft shoe foot swipe is unacceptable. Get a rake, smooth the area, and clean up your foot tracks. Dragging the rake behind in a lazy attempt to smooth out you heal prints doesn't cut it. Remember, we as players are all part of the "grounds crew" when we are out there playing. Our professional Grounds Team sets our course up for optimum conditions, it's up to all players to take that extra second or two to keep the course in great shape for all those who follow us.
